Meet Hanky & Panky!

These two beauties hung out with us in the back yard all afternoon. I think it was a sign that someone was watching!

How to Hanky Panky!

What you need....

1 lb Hamburger
1lb. hot sausage (Jimmy Dean bulk pork sausage)
1 lb Velveeta Cheese (cubed)
1 teaspoon each - oregano, garlic powder , red pepper
Pepperidge Farm Party Rye Bread

What you do.....

Cook sausage and hamburger mashing to make crumbly. Drain. Combine cheese, sausage and hamburger over a low heat to melt the cheese. Add spices.  Let mixture thicken. Spread on Rye Bread. Place on cookie sheet and freeze (covered with  foil).
After a few hours place into plastic bags or plastic containers until ready to bake.

To serve:  Heat in 400 degree oven for 10 to 15 minutes or until bubbly and bread is crunchy.
Thank you Lynn Gape for the recipe and pics, the hanky panks were awesome and one of Pops favs!!!!!🙂

We Hit the Jackpot!

In our family Potluck means Jackpot!!!  Thankfully, I am fortunate enough to be married into a family of excellent cooks so when we set the date for a family Christmas potluck I knew I was in for a stupendous afternoon.

The meaning of potluck is.....“a situation in which one must take a chance that whatever is available will prove to be good or acceptable”.

No chance or luck required today as I know my families food and love is a sure thing!

Let us eat, drink and be merry this holiday and remember the reason for the season!

  • Appetizers by friends

    Lynn’s - Hankie Pankies

Donna’s - Sausage Rolls & Scottish Haggis Cups (since Daddy is Scottish after all)

  • Lunch by All

The men on the grills perfectly cooked Rib Eye Steaks

Allan and Beth’s - Pasta Salad with Crawfish all dressed up in holiday colors.

Nicole's - Enticing Green Salad with croutons and zesty dressing.

  • Dessert
